$300 Prize

The sun is breaking through and its time to get back on the water and see follow kiters getting around in some cool gear you designed. Sharpen your pencils and get your creative juices flowing to win $300 cash towards any new toy you want to start the new season.
Your gear will be sold on the KBV website and Facebook with your name (if desired) and be available to all KBV and non-KBV members to purchase over summer.

What do you have to do?

Design a KBV T-Shirt! The design is entirely up to you and makes it something you would want to roll in. Start designing now and then upload the designs during the submission period (21-27 October 2013) on www.99Designs.com
The KBV committee will choose the winner by vote at a members meeting, all are welcome to participate.

The Brief:
????Design a T-Shirt, Hoodie or Both;
????Choose the fabric colour in your design (white or light is the preference here);
????Shirt will be "screen printed", upto 5 colours
????Features the KBV logo, and or text "Kiteboarding Victoria" and "www.KBV.org.au";
????Shirt can be any colour, but black or white are generally most popular; and
????Original design???no coping off google etc etc;
????T-Shirt of good quality and cut, no harry high neck!!.

Here we go KBV... Do you guys own the copyright to the design? Or can you print it out as many times as you want.... I would be more than happy to do a design knowing that it is a limited run and you wont place it on stickers and hats and and and.... It makes me sad that people wont invest in good design or employ a design group to help...

Hi Happy G...
Thank you for your questions. regards copyright etc. Without getting into a host of legal issues, all we want to do is promote KBV, and offer to our members gear that you may actually wish to wear!!! That is the aim. Regards your comments about people not investing in good design. Im not sure how much you know about KBV. But we are a group of passionate Kiters ( eg 10 people ish on committee, depend whos around to help) on a volunteer basis. We do our best to provide value to our members. Therefore it was simply an idea we had to offer our members and others the opportunity to design a T Shirt , eg to be involved in the process to socialise the fact. vs selecting two or 3 design org to create something for us. eg its not really about creating the best kite T Shirt, nor is it about trying to obtain the greatest ROI.
I hope i have cheered you up a bit by trying to explain what KBV is about and what the intention is with this t shirt design comp.

I would welcome any of your design suggestions if you still are interested.

ps we haven't thought past a T shirt regards other merchandise. I guess we would communicate with the winner and enter into a mutually agreeable arrangement. thank you Rick for KBV

I understand that KBV does not have the money and I should have kept my comments to my self... enough said.....
