I have been dreaming about flying the 80 - 124k stretch of dunes in my Hangglider for a while. But am having trouble getting confirmation about the conditions there. Some say there are regular sea breezes there, but the observation history looks poor.
I also read a post on here about the sea breeze been stronger inland on the lakes, ie 15 knots while only 7 knots on the coast at seaspray ... Seaspray is where we plan to base ourselves from. a heap of guys from sydney as well as a pile from melbourne plan to give it a go in about 4 weeks time. mid week to avoid the weekend tourists.
Ideally we want 15 knots to fly the hanggliders. But im kinda pessimistic from looking at the obs.
SE is the seabreeze. Usually need a high pressure over the coast and a warm day to heat up the land. For this reason, they're more regular in Summer. They usually peak around 3pm, but depending on the season, can be irregular.
