Hi all,
I am a regular kiter up around altona and rosebud but made the journey down to apollo bay for a few days......
The prevailing wind is WNW and I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea where I can go for a kite locally......I what it when I drag all my kit to somplace and find the wind direction just doesnt work!!!

The coast at Apollo Bay faces South East, so a WNW will be offshore. You'll also be in the lee of the hills so it'll probably be lighter that you might expect. The only place the wind might be onshore would be west of cape otway. I don't know anything about the options there - but mostly they'd be pretty remote. I wouldn't bother with kitesurfing at apollo bay with a WNW forecast though.
