Hi,
Travelling to Ballarat soon, can you? and do people? kite on the local lakes eg Burrumbeet etc?

The answer is yes not that i have ever done it before.
There was a discussion on this about 12 months ago. Just do a search on either lake burrumbeet or lake learmonth.
There was also a separate discussion re Lake Wendouree.

I kite burrumbeet all the time, its my home spot
You need to head out cuthbert road to the south bank
Best in n, nw, w. I go to learmoth in s and se
Its a bit tricky to get out as there a some big trees so keep your eyes open
