Who here is keen enough to do before work sessions during winter? Are they do-able? There looks to be a fair bit of early morning wind over the next week, with plenty of it available in the mornings - more specifically, it looks like Northerlies.
I'm kind of considering doing Brighton before work on Tuesday - i.e. out on the water 7am.

I did some pre-work sessions in Winter several years ago. There's a crew of windsurfer who get out at Green Point most windy mornings.
The problem with winter southerlies or westerlies is they always come with storm cells and crap weather. It's kind of depressing riding around and even more depressing packing up in the damp, and even more depressing rolling up latish to work knowing you've got to work later to make up the time.
What is absolutely magic is to take a day off on a sunny winter's day with strong northerlies and head to Rye or Rosebud or somewhere else down the coast. Have a coffee and a muffin at a cafe. Then rig up and kite or surf for a couple of hours. Finish off with a late lunch at a nice cafe with an open fire, a pair of Uggs and a warm jacket. Heaven.

Sounds awesome Gorgo.
I can start work around 9am, live in St Kilda so if I can wrap up my session around 8 I could make it in on time.
The cold/wet/damp doesn't sound too inviting but I haven't been out on the kite in months so I'm getting keen/desperate.
