Why is no one kiting at Brighton today? Is it because of slight "easterly" in the wind?

I was there [Brighton] yesterday and can confirm it would have been better at Rosebud... It was so off and on, at one point there were people on the water, sporting a 7m, 8m, 9m, 10m, 11m and a 13m with directional!
Still, better than not kiting...
