Hi All

After working my a$$ of for 13 months at the mines I decided to spend a year traveling around the globe visiting islands and beaches such as Zanzibar and Borocai.
Left my job and parents decided to get a divorse and most of my assets are under moms name and I basically lost most of it. Sucks big time.

So now I still need to find a way to kite in some fantastic locations.
Just got back from 2 weeks in 1770, fantastic conditions, but I have been keen to go to Cocos islands as part of my trip. I still plan to go.

What a great spot, Australian Maldives in the middle of the ocean.

If I could find 4+ people we can get 10% off.

Cocos is up and running July onwards, 7 day, 10, 11 and 14 day tours.

I am not part of this group or affiliated in any way.

If some are intrested it would be good to find out preffered dates, preffered tour lengths and numbers.
I personally like the idea of 2 week purely because flights costs so might as well make most of it. Plus extra days in paradise is not something I am against of.

I can then see if I can organize a better deal for airfares, Melbourne - Perth - Cocos - Perth - Melbourne.

Check out the link below.

Ps prefer for people to join from Vic as flights will be easier to organize but anyone is welcome as long as they bring smiles and energy for some paradise sessions.

I don't follow Rob. Shifty? Naive?

I am just participating in a forum. And providing an opportunity for solo kiters to have Join a group.

We need to be a 5 people group in order to get a better deal. 3 people intrested so far but we need few more.

I will be going to Cocos regardless but I hope we can get the numbers for group discount.

Just being a bit cautious when a new forum member talks about something that might involve exchanges of money between strangers for trips or airfares. But from your other posts it seems you are genuine.

I'll be there Aug 3 - Aug 31. You will love it

Sorry, I sometimes do not explain myself properly.

There is no need for me to receive anyones $$$

Everyone can pay separately, just need to have 5 plus people to get a discount for the group booking.

Same would be for flights. But I do have a great travel agent that seems to be able to use his brain to save 50$ here 50$ there. All adds up.

I try to head overseas with friends 1-2 per year and always seem I be the one organizing the trip for the group so I don't mind organising.

It wound be good to make this happen, make few new mates and have few laughs as I am new to Vic kiteboarding scene.
Frontliner Has been helping me out, showing me his favorite spots. Good man.

Do airlines tend to give discounts to group bookings?

Many years ago it was book 9 get one free.
There is no competion on the Cocos route, just Virgin.
The price was (a few weeks back) $491.85 out to Cocos and $523.80 back to Perth. It's gone up about $20 since then. Interested to know if there is any cheaper way.

I have not started looking at flights as we need 5 people and everyone to go on the same date.

So far looks like 3-5 people already.

Wild like to lock it in soon and start talking to the Zephyr tours and look for cheapest flights.

It's a long way from Melbourne so I doubt it will be cheap. But I think it will be worth it.
