Are there any kiters who regularly get out early in the morning?

The way my work operates over summer is we push our start/finish times back in the day as we work closely with US financial markets, so us going on to daylight savings and them going off often means I'm not in the office until 11am.

I'd be keen to see if other kiters regularly get out in the morning or will I be doing this solo? Im mostly interested around the SE Bay area as travel time before/after a session will reduce time in the water.

Cheers.

Hey Sammy, there were a couple of guys out this a.m. on Vegas(es) at St. K. This morning was a southerly.

Typically over summer one get's Northerlies in the a.m. and southerlies in the arvo,... so here's hoping you're based near Rosebud (SE bay areas, sounds like you are).

Wish i was closer to Rosebud than I am, around 40 minutes drive.

Yeah, this morning seemed like a good westerly, im right near Gnotuk so anywhere around there or north around the bay is fine. Shower and stuff at the office so no need to go home after a kite.

Well if anyone is interested give me a PM. Westerly looks to be continuing tonight and tomorrow morning so I might try my luck tomorrow. Up around 6am and at the beach pumped and ready to hit the water come first drop of sunlight.

I think you will find that in summer the best chance to get out is in the afternoon when seabreeze kicks in. Mornings are generally light with the exceptions of northerlies or sw fronts coming through. But they are rare and not as consistent as the arvo seabreeze.

Yep, completely understand SpaceCoyote, kiting in the morning is not by choice, but as most work days in summer I'm in the office from 11am to 7pm this is kind of a necessity.

...... i really need a new job, but this one pays too damn well.
