This week we are going to have east winds. Where is the best place to kite surf around Torquey area?

Point danger, it's not as bad as it sounds. Look for the peninsula that juts out to the south of torquay

Depends on your definition of beginner. Beginner is quite a broad term. Are you comfortable self launching/landing, going upwind etc?

Also depends on the wind direction as well. Some directions can be challenging.

East is fine for point danger. Just watch out for reefs on low tide.

thank you to everyone for the information. I was there from 1pm until dark. After 6 pm the wind picked up but not strong enough for the Wainman 7.5 Mr Green kite Thank you Alex for letting me take the kites. I like the kite and the bar. Because it was my 1 st time and noone around I didn't kite Point Danger. I decided to kite near the boat ramp (Fisho). The wind was from the east and south east. I will go back again. cheers Jose

On low tide there are many rock. On high tide the rocks are not a problem. On low tide is better not to kite on the point. It was my 1st time using a kite there. I have surfed there many time but it was my 1st time using a kite. cheers
