Hi All - hoping for a bit of advice - the company Find boardsports - has anyone used their products? Have trawled for review but only found one on extremekites, just wondered as their a local brand whether many people have tried them? Look really good value but obviously a bit of an unknown quantity.
Cheers

Tried one. Good boards. They're not a-grade latest boards with the latest technology like you get with most premium brands but then you're not exactly paying A$1000 for them either. I'd say they meet most riders requirements, there are much better boards out there, but they also aren't the worst boards either.

Are you looking for something to use short term while you're in Aus or a long term investment?

Forgot to add, I actually have one of these but in the original Lost Cause design (the owner of Lost Cause used to make boards for Aaron Hadlow before he died). Mine is a 140x43 which I used mainly for light wind. Its a fairly generic design that Best and a couple of other brands have used in the past and its very well regarded. Its probably the best designs they have and the one I'd recommend:

I have tried them, good all round boards. The company is fresh and passionate about the sport, they have invested alot into their brand and are continually improving their products. I would definitely recommend their boards, a couple of the schools in St Kilda have Find boards in their inventory if you want to demo one.

Thanks for the quick feedback - I was looking at the Riot and Turbo as they seem to be the most competitively priced.

Basically Ive got a months holiday starting in melbourne ending in NZ and intend to kite as much as poss, so I was really looking for something I could use and sell on, that said if its better or as good as my 2008 Brunotti that i have in the UK i may sell that instead and keep the board long term.

I've spent a little bit of time on the Find Riot 132 and 136. I ended up breaking my previous board (a Nobile) down at Sandy Point a few months ago and borrowed the Riot 132 from a mate.

Nice smooth board to ride, eats chop surprisingly well with very little knee jarring vibration. From my time on it i'd say it doesn't have much rocker but it's not the stiffest of boards so your not going to get stratospheric pop out of it, but it holds a rail well and likes to be ridden fast. If you do ride it fast then it'll certainly reward you. Also because it's got a decent amount of flex in it the landings are nice and smooth. I'm planning on getting one of the 128's for my missus to have as her first board... and something that i can use when it's really cranking.

Money well spent if your after a board that gives you 95% the performance of the latest high-end boards for much less money.

edit: Also forgot to mention, FIND have been doing boards for quite a while. They're certainly not new in the game... but they previously called themselves Force Industries. F-IND got shortened into FIND.

Have a look in their shop when you get here. you'll get a fair idea of the quality when you look at them. They are decent. Fins I got with mine were plastic so you may want to upgrade those unless they now offer better fins.

Straps and pads are generic but good nevertheless.

I bought a Find Turbo 135 to use this seasons, I only got out on it for a handful of sessions but I agree with the general consensus that they're a great board for the money.

I have lent it to mates who laughed at the price I paid for it thinking it would be rubbish and they came back in with suprised looks on their faces and praise for its performance.

Caveat: I am selling one in the Buy & Sell section so I'm not going to give a poor review am I.
