Mate, that's my home town!

Muddies is the best spot to hit (oldbar) 25-30 min from Tuncurry.

I spose you could kite Wallis lake if your experienced

Nice, yeah it's my Mums home town.
Haven't been up here since I started the Kird career.
We are staying at One mile and a guy told me today that they do kite there.
What about Smithys?
What's the best website for winds up here?

I'd suggest staying away from the populated beaches.
Xmas time is crazy with tourists.
One mile could be ok in a NW down the south end.
Smiths lake is a bit gusty with all the hills about and you need 4wd access.
Wallis lake sailing club is a popular spot for windsurfers, but no set up room at high tide.
If you've got access to a boat, Wallis lake channel could work.... But a bit hairy.

Seriously make the trip to old bar,
Turn left at the caravan park and drive through the s bends and turn right onto beach access (4wd) or park and walk 200m
Perfect spot for flat water and access to waves.

Wind readings best taken from personal observation.
Hot in the morning with no dark clouds to the south usually means windy afternoon. Wind turns on early some days NW but I've ridden some crazy 40+in southerlies as well!

ok, will give it a go.
Maybe Let me know when you get here and if it works can catch up at Muddies
Blowing pretty hard at one mile today with beach very quiet.
Might give it a crack seeing as it's so quiet.

Not great for me.
Overpowered on the 12, should have put up the 8.
Wind was good, but very rough out there.
Not looking great for wind over the next couple of days.
Hoping I will get a chance to get to Old Bar!

Yeah, I didn't imagine oney to be a good spot.

I've kited the back beach at Black head in a southerly... butter smooth in 40kn southerly... WAS scarry as **** though. My bag was completely covered in sand when I came back in!

Pebbely beach could be ok in a NW with the little rock formation just off shore...

Enjoy
