Yep, Point Henry for Nrth-Nrth West is only 10min. Portarlington for NE is also nice flat (and clean) water. On a Southerly you are best to go to Ocean Grove or 14th Beach.

If you pop in at the Geelong Kitepower store they will be able to give you the run down.

Has anyone ever kited around North Shore area? iv recently moved here for work and i drive past the water every day. Seems like the water is very Shallow and keeps flat. lots of weed though and sort of similar to Pt Henry. Couldnt really find a launch area that decent though and it does look kinda rocky in some parts

North Shore: there is Limeburners Lagoon (launch near the boat houses) and Avalon Beach (creeepy place). Both work on S-SE.

I have only been out a couple of times in these areas, there are some locals who know if better then me. if you have time its worth driving further for better water and wind.

People also kite the first carpark of Pt Henry on a Southerly. A little gusty but flat water.
