I'm in Geelong for the next 4 days and am keen to get a session in, can anyone help with a good kiting location for the forecast conditions ?

Cheers

Not as far as I know. Launch is a little sketchy (lots of bushes) and be weary dropping your kite close to shore because of the seaweed. Also there are some sea urchins in the water but only at specific points so ask a local when you are there where they are.

Its right at the end of a plant so don't be surprised when you see yourself travelling towards it to get to the kitespot.

Its a pretty flat spot, nice kiting.

This is what it looks like in 20 knots

Hi Peter,
Did you get wet at Port Fairy?

I had a great 15 km down winder from Port Mac yesterday, you would of enjoyed it.

Port Henry is a pretty good spot but heed Saffer advice. Booties are a must.

When you get across the other side of the bay make sure you try out Rye.

Had one excellent flat water session just east of Pt Fairy when the sea breeze came in for an hour, will sorely miss that location.
Also did the discover scuba course, amazing value a $99 for a 3 hour session which included nearly an hour in the water. Will have to get a full ticket and go back to Carpenter Rocks for some tasty lobster

Pt Henry may go tonight if a breeze comes in but it was too hot and still yesterday.

Will be on the ferry Monday arvo and on a mission to get up the coast a bit so Rye may have to wait till next time

Cheers and good kiting.
