Im going to check it out tomorrow morning around sunrise, I'm a little confused at the weather forecast though. Meant to be 20ish knots right now, certainly isnt that nor has been for hours.

Tomorrow morning BOM says

Wednesday 8 October Winds Westerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots in the south early in the morning. Winds becoming variable about 10 knots in the early afternoon.

So if there's 20 knots early in the morning, im kiting for a few hours.

I find this more reliable for Gnotuk, just put Aspendale into the locate field and remember to change the dropdown form km/h to knots before you get to excited.

www.bom.gov.au/australia/meteye/

Looks more like 9 knots NW in the AM

Im up, and it certainly doesnt look like 15 knots to me at Gnotuk.

Doesn't even look like enough wind to get the kite off the ground.

Carr is good especially if you head south towards Seaford the section of beach gets good kickers on anything with west in it and there's no people there to get in your way the only issue is the beach is quite small so the best place for landings and takeoffs is near the small concrete jetty 100m from Keast Park as the sand builds up there.
