Hi everyone,

Ok, lets get it out of the way, Yes i am Noob, i have had 2 lessons while living over in WA and i love it! I have recently moved back to Melbourne and want to finnish the training and start riding!!!

So all that being said i am looking for some advise on good schools over here. I know this can be a personal choice thing so i will take that into account, but can people give me a shout out and point me in the right direction of a decent school? if i can get a idea of two or three "leading contenders" i will do the rounds and see who i like the best.

Google turns up a heap of hits, places with shops and places with out, its a bit daunting. As for location i dont really mind as i live nowhere near the beach so i am going to have to travel anyway.

thanks for your time!

St Kilda.
Kite Republic, GoKite and Katani.

My personal recommendation based on the fact that i've only had great experiences with them and their staff would be Kite Republic.

Kite Republic is the biggest school and it also has great social events like club meet ups and 'ride days' which are bus trips to the windiest locations every sunday, they're awesome.

Check the KBV site for the list of schools at St Kilda - one is missing off the list

There are four operators at west beach as KBV has said,
Us Katani, which are missing off the KBV website (something i will sort out very soon), Go Kite, Melbourne Kite Academy and Kite Republic.

My personal bit is one school is as good as another, but one school can only be as good as their instructor.
As instructors we generally move from place to place season to season.

So i would say get down the beach and simply talk to us them and anyone else and book lessons with who you like.

Can't be any fairer than that.

Good luck bud hope to see you in the shop or on the beach.

Jamie
Katani Head Instructor.
