There is wind pretty much all year around. The winter winds are gustier and its obviously colder but there is still wind. Just bring a 4/3 or 5/4 wetsuit if you have one.
BTW, colder is probably not winter cold like Ireland. Its about 5 degrees.
I get through the middle of winter in Melbourne with a 4/3 and booties. April is pretty much the end of the summer season, but we still get decent southerly wind. The awesome winter northerlies don't kick in till about July.
what do u mean the northlies doesn't start untill july i've had loads of seshs in april/may on northly and they not nearly as gusty as the winter ones
btw if ur stupid like me u can get away wiv boardies until mid may
Oh yeah, any time all year round you can catch a northerly at the southern end of the bay but it's not until July that the crazy gusty winter northerlies really kick in. ;) You know the ones that you get the double/triple gusts during a boost. :D
