BOM is showing 35 knots in the morning progressively dying off to 15 knots by the evening so there should be plenty of kiting in it for the day. Will check it again tomorrow but I don't see it changing.

Hey guys inverloch isn't always flash in a SE; I spent the arvo at shallow inlet sandy point and had the best session of this year. So if you're going to drive and inverloch is flukey- go the extra 40 mins, you won't regret it.

If you want to wait for wind then go to altona. Bom showing it won't hit until 3pm or later in the afternoon so you may sit around all day. Inverloch on the other hand will be blowing at 7am and the biggest risk is getting blown off the water by not having a small enough kite.

I'm leaving at about 6am from Sorrento so I'll be at Inverloch around 8am for a session. If anyone else is keen, send me a PM and I'll send on my mobile number.

I had good session at point Henry, prob was even around right side was still at best cross shore n unfortunately there was nobody else there so was so focused on keeping everything super safe so wouldn't get into any trouble took away from fun a bit

Still got kite in tho so no complaints

Gave inverloch a miss in the end. Woke up to pissing rain so check Bom rain radar and it showed it wouldn't be letting up for a while. Was planning to head to Balnarring if the rain let up but it continued pissing all day.

Might head out tomorrow if it's not raining but I don't see that happening. The place we are staying in in sorrento doesn't offer much in the line of kite drying so the thought of packing away a kite wet is not appealing.

I saw the pound creek wind reading; and thought hey, that's not enough wind for me.... went to sandy point surf beach- had my 7m up, and didn't stay out more than half an hour (the whole time i was totally de-powered). I don't have a windmeter, but I think the gusts were easily 40+ at times. In the end, would have been funner watching kiting DVD's in front of the heater.....

You wouldn't be far wrong. Check the Wilson's prom readings

I feel lucky to be only a little worse for
Wear (a bit of soreness). Dam you winter winds and your unpredictability.
