I am going to Inverloch with the family for the long weekend. I have never kited there before.

Given that the wind is predicted to be N-NW I guess Inverloch will be no good and I will need to go to Sandy Point?

I have never kited there either. Do I just go through the Sandy point township to the end of road C445 and pull my kite out when I hit the sand? or is there a better spot?

I am going upwind but am not happy hitting the water if it is even slightly cross offshore.

Or is there road access to somewhere on the other side of Anderson's inlet at Inverloch to allow kiting there in a Northerly?

Its not going to be ideal for you. Don't know about Andersons inlet. Sandy point looks pretty strong sun and monday. Sat could be OK. You drive to the end of the road and at not high tide most people will drive down the beach, but there is off beach car parking, although you'll have to walk a bit. When there is enough water you can kite to the west of a large sand bar, where there is a shallow channel and that will be safe enough, but at your stage I'd avoid the main channel, esp in the higher winds. There is a strong tide, and its easy to get into difficulty or lose gear.

So yes take your gear, but be cautious and I'd not go out without a few other kites around.
