What about a land kiting or buggy category?

Hi just to reply on the land kiting.

At this stage KBV's permit does not cover land kiting etc.

I guess KBV is more focused on water based Kiting. But if you wish to call me to discuss im always open to new ideas if there is enough interest.

2 weeks out is impossible to gauge the wind... even in the summer.

a) KBV holds 3 Kite events.
b) 2x Wave events at 13th Beach one between Oct to Dec ish and the other the State Titles from Jan to March, in the better winds
c) 1x Free Titles in Jan.
d) these dates were requested by our members
e) we know that Oct to Dec wind is not as good, but due to the interest in holding these events we wanted to have more than just the one
The fact is that we have had great conditions in Nov when we have run this event in the past ( not the Titles) .Most kiters are aware that we often need to call these events fairly close to the date (mind you this is often the case also between jan to march anyway)
f) we can always have another in jan to march if we can fit it in, and as requested by our members.
g) there is also another wave event at 13th Beach on weekend of 5th feb in collaboration with the NKL. Just wondering Salt if you were aware of this?
h) so KBV / KA / NKL is hosting 5 kite events this season in Victoria, 4 between jan and March

Hi Sunday cancelled as the wind forecast changed again. winds too light, and only picking up in the arvo 4 to 5 pm ( when called).

Yep Im here now ( as i live at Torquay on weekends..) , and not a breath of wind, But hopefully the wind will come thru later in arvo, ( eg 4 to 5pm as forecast a few days ago)

I cancelled , as its getting a bit late to start the comp. at 5pm on a Sunday for most people....



Please also refer to the following that KBV use , its by far the most accurate. As allows you to zoom in on the specific area.
Some sites dont provide this level of focus.

KBV Wave Event postponed to Sat 19th Dec .Hi all for a number of reasons we have postponed the event to 19th Dec. If that date is not a go then we can do 2 x wave events in 2016 . Noting that there is the NKL on weekend of 4th Feb at 13th. Have a great weekend.
