I'm looking to get into a bit more kiting on the surf coast, I've never seen any kites down that way so I was wondering if there was anyone that rides down there?

Obviously I don't want to ride the crowded breaks (reason I got into kiting to get away from that), happy to smash the slop when it's too messy/onshore for surfing.

Also does anyone know if there are any council restrictions/no go zones for kiters down there?

Would be cool to hook up with some like minded peeps for some sessions down that way as all the people I know are into that new school shizzle.
I would consider myself an intermediate rider, been riding for 5/6 years now. Full quiver of kites up to about 40/45kn and a hybrid twinny for the surf.

Cheers

I'm trying to get to torquay every weekend. There are kiters at Point danger, Ocean grove and between the two.

Facebook me: sebastian Clarke (phtoto of me in a black jacket), if you wanna find out what days i'm going.

I'll be there (point danger) this Sunday 9th December if wind is up.

zeally bay torquay is the beach near the point (point danger) which is awesome.

Sounds like a shed load of fun. I don't think I'm there yet (too new!) but hoping to make it over this season.

Good on you fella.
