So a week ago we kited Wilsons prom, about 1/2 the parks been burnt out, and the whole park is closed. The road was closed about 10km south of Yanakie.

There is good wind down toward that way, flat water. The local tourist trade is sufferring, accom just north of the prom is desperate for some trade and will also give you bargains just to get some business.

I'm not a local, only spent 2 days there, so you'll have to do more research. Check when the national parks will reopen the road into the park that will open up heaps more spots. I kited the one place at Yanakie when it was blowing easterly, which was flat due to it being shallow and growing seagrass. Google earth shows beaches on the west side too tho. Accom wasn't anything special, but there's plenty of it, and all very quiet, kiting is prob the only tourist trade they have left and they don't even know it.

Wind Directions? Southerly looks good for Tidal River beach. Any other locations at the Prom?
