Hi guys, I've been out of the water for years but I've been having withdrawals and am looking at buying some new gear and spending summer by the beach. (Normally Brighton.) Right now I'm working interstate, just wondering if the La Nina weather pattern I've heard mentioned this year is having any negative effects on conditions.

Is the seabreeze kicking in nicely a few days a week or should I just save my pennies for next year.

Any info appreciated.

*edit* Fawkner beacon is saying it's been reasonable for the last three days..

You need to learn to do the Port Phillip purge after you've had a dunking.
It's way worse when you get manky water in your nasal cavity that then decides to come gushing out about an hour or two later... usually at the dinner table.

Another thing that one of my mates insists on doing is drinking a 1.25 litre bottle of coke after every session. His logic is that if it'll dissolve a steak then it'll kill off what ever he ingested.

i knew i was looking at that 1.25L bottle of coke for a reason. I made the rookie mistake of choosing the ginger beer, delicous but just doesnt have the same disinfectant properties

Is it just me or has it been a pretty crummy season so far?
