winter said..If you have good life insurance you could try gumtree

Nowhere else in Melbourne will they teach you how to get your Cab stuck in a tree or how to get rescued by a 14 year old boy for the low low price of 25 dollars!
re. buying gear - it's nearing the end of the summer, so I am sure there will be some good deals out there. For a one kite quiver I'd go for a 12m if you are 90kg. Any of the major brands. Shop around. On the other hand unless you plan on learning in gusty northerlies this winter down in Rosebud you may only have a bit over a month to get out and play in the bay and may just want to hold off. Depends how dedicated you are. I know a few guys who bought gear at the end of the season, didn't want to learn in the winter, and then lost interest come the following summer.
