Wow! Great work Sean!

Reccommended for a commumity hero - not just a kite surfing hero you always were previously!

The article in The Age is much more detailed:

A thought occurs.

I know Sean always launches/lands near the South Melb SLSC, which is perhaps a bit of a grey area with the new Parks Vic regulations?

Now surely he can just put on a vest that says "life guard on duty". Or maybe just "Hero at Work".

Yup. It opens a can of worms for the new regulations. Do you think park victoria will fine him for going over 5 knots in a 5 knot zone and kiting through a swimming area? Maybe we should have not mentioned his name to save him a hefty fine.

On the jetskier front, what sort of idiots go out on jetskis without PFD's?

Jet Skiers are morons. They are missing a chromasome or someting. No PFD, wonder if she was even licenced.

Yup. Whilst its unfair to tar all jetskiiers with the same brush (a mate of mine will drive an hour to go out at Torquay legally), it does seem like the vast majority have the IQ of a brick and the combined mentality of 5 hoon drivers after a bottle of jack.

Firstly welldone. Secondly Jet skiers are more annoying than those wankers that ride harley davidsons down st kilda on the weekends. Probably the same people.... we dont want to hear your noise people.
seroiusly wish jet skiers would stay in theyre jeeps and skylines and keep the **** out of the water. Learn to be part of the ocean instead of treating it like a motorway. Lack of ability and half these people cant swim. Sorry but they really **** me. A guy was seen the other day in SA couple of weeks back herding up some dolphins .. when confronted he said he thought they were sharks... f'n retard.

That one sentence sums up 90% of jet ski riders ocean/water experience...... ie: NO F'n Idea.

WOW! Such latent aggression - obviously some of you are not getting enough wind.... Come to Sydney - our bay sh**s all over yours... However that was not want I wanted to say...

It seems natural that the bad behaviour of the minority of a community tends to give the rest of the community a bad name - just think what the fundamentalists have done for Islam...

So, while there are some real idiots in the jetski world, I have seen jetskiers helping kiters who lose boards, giving beginner kiters blown downwind a tow in, and and even group together to organise a search for a missing board.

And dont forget that we have some real a-holes in our community too - if you are prepared to give it, be prepared to receive it too.

Back to the subject - Sean wins the Social Community Award by a mile!!

I have to agree on the porsche front. There seems to be a large number of handicapped porsche boxster drivers lately because whenever I see a car parked in the handicapped parking, its a porsche boxster.

Some douche in a porsche even parked his porsche in the middle of the road outside a construction site across the road from us for 20 minutes because he couldn't find a parking. WTF? In the middle of the road? There were parkings about 100m away but he/she couldn't be bothered to walk. Another handicapped candidate maybe.

It looks like the wannabe porsche drivers who can only afford the porsche boxsters want to be seen getting in and out of their cars by girls in the hope that their car keys may improve their chances of getting lucky for the night. pretty sad isn't it?

That particular Porsche was VERY LUCKY to escape being badly scratched by the keys, bumpers, wheel jacks and other "protruding objects" of other drivers squeezing to get past....

KBV managed to interview Sean (the kiter concerned) and has made a recommendation for a "Recognition Award" to AKSA.

AKSA has developed a Recognition Award policy and will be using this to evaluate submissions for some form of recognition and also for inclusion in a Kiting Hall of fame (or similar)...
