pack your gear indeed. depending on direction, try the silk jetties in eagle point with anything with east in it or try tambo bay for south to south west. or jump in your boat and find the perfect spot by yourself
Hey, I'm new to the area and looking to get out in tomorrows NEer after work. I finish at 530 so I want something as close as possible. What do people recomend? At the moment I'm thinking loch sport, but it will be close to 630 by the time i get there so I'd like something closer, or is that the best option? What's Lake Wellington like? I was reading through this post and thought marley point might be an option if the wind doesnt come off the land too gusty in a north easter www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Victoria/Gippsland-Kitesurfing-90-Mile-Beach/
I may have gotten the forecast wrong. I used the east vic graph on seabreeze but according to BOM marine it'll be completely still this afternoon Sale. Are there any good forecast sites for the region or is BOM marine the best bet? Is there much of a seabreeze on the hot days?
Gday Acitta Do not rely on the Seabreeze East Gippsland fcast EVER period!!!! Can never work out why it is so much at odds with the BOM Gippsland fcast which is usually correct and reliable.
I am at Bairnsdale and we regularly get an Easterly sea breeze when the Latrobe Valley heats up. This sea breeze is best across Eagle Point Bay. PM me for more details if you like.
Best fcast is a High centred on and crossing Tassie, then we get 12+ kt easterlies.
There is a mad keen kiter from Maffra too. Look on Facebook "Gippsland Kiteboarders"
