Is anyone going out in the bay tomorrow? I was thinking about going out between frankston and brighton but with all the water run off from today port phillip bay is going to be a big sewerage tank. Are there any beaches that get less affected?

Only the ocean.
Unfortunately with this much rain Melbourne water will be releasing RAW SEWERAGE into the bay.
It happens far more often than you may think and the EPA do jack about it.
IMO Melb water like any corporation should be fined when such instances occur.
I have written to the EPA many times on this issue and apparently Melb water are not even required to improve infrastructure in the future to deal with these instances with Melbournes rapidly expanding population this is going to get worse ... A lot worse.
As they are regarded as a one in four year event yet raw sewerage has been released more than six times since Jan 1

haha well that's the end to blissful ignorance! Looks like I'll steer clear of the bay for the weekend all together then. I'm meant to be in Frankston late afternoon so I'm not going to be able to make it to Inverloch or out as far as Torque. Does anyone know of any spots that get a few kiters around the back beaches on the Peninsular?

Probably worth steering clear of it for 3-5 days. The ecoli levels go off the charts.
