Sounds like a great place to kite in a westerly if you don't value your life!!!

Far k , just googled that to see where it was, thats just crazy !

I'd be happy with my life and the kite, the board seemed expendable considering the circumstances. (wind direction, strength, location).

That board will be totally determined by the tide direction, seeing you are kiting at the heads. You might like to let our Tassie friends know you lost your board too.
