So I needed a new rashie, and as I work in CBD, I checked out few surf shops during lunchtime.... wasn't impressed with prices.

So I go to my local Kite shop at Altona (KSS), and get the same rashie for way cheaper. Yay.

Disclaimer: I'm not on comission, nor affiliated... just sharing the excitement of saving a buck.

Most surf shops in major shopping centres only have token surf gear so they can call them selves a surf shop.
You can pay up to $40 for a hat at these shops. Couldnt imagine what a rashie would be worth!

Maybe try Anaconda...
I've bought booties and 1mm top there at resonable price.
Though I generally try to support local board sports stores if they have the gear: RPS in elwood
and SHQ in Sandringham.

I'd like to thank Steve from KSS (Altona) for saving the day today.Turn up at Altona beach today,winds cranking and I discover one of the straps on the board stuffed.A local kiter pointed me to KSS and 40 mins later I'm on the water with a pair of near new second hand straps.Nice session,Gusty,but nice.

The thread is to thank kss Altona it's the only one we have in the western suburbs we need to get behind it and support it otherwise it won't be around next season

The guys at altona are great, was there the day the guy broke his strap. and today drove another guy there to get a new inflation valve. they have always been nice and up for a chat.

Not familiar with KSS because I don't generally kite at Altona. But I'm all for supporting the locals where ever they are...
