Hi there.
Im relatively new to the sport and looking at spots out of Melbourne to get some clear water so I can crash away and not get in anyones way. I am looking at heading to Lorne this weekend and wondered if the beach or nearby beaches provided good water and wind for a potench session.
Would be great to hear.

Contact Alex at Stonker in Torquay - he knows the area well. Two good local areas there are Point Henry and 13th beach but both are Geelong side. Otherwise try Apollo Bay for clear but cold water....

Lorne beaches are not that great for kitesurfing. Protected pretty well by hills and a lot of rocks. Apollo Bay is good, there are a number of beaches the crew use down there. there is also a school there.
