I cannot express how much I love this sport.
The forecast for yesterday morning was a little sketchy but ended being well worth the early start and drive.
Got to Rosie just after 7AM, a good 17-20kts breeze blowing. Rigged up and set up without another soul in the water.
Self launched, a little hot I might add, and got out there.
The sky was a little overcast and gave everything a soft pastel colour, a few excited butterflies in the stomach gave a hint to what was going to be a great day.
The feeling of being out on the water, the sound of the wind and the sense of being absolutely free, is just magical!!
I had Rosebud to myself for around an hour, a few kiters started to trickle down. One was staying in the smoother section close in, getting nice boosts at each end of their tack. I was so happy someone else was out here sharing the stoke.
2 hours later I came in for a break, quads burning.
This is what life is about, just awesome!

mjp12, yeah buddy, I was on the North. Saw you out up at 14, looked like you were enjoying the kickers out the back.
And yes, amazing morning.
