Just a heads up if anyone kites at Mentone there were cops there today probably trying to catch kiters who wander into the no-boating zone in front of the LSC. I have seen Parks Vic come down on a few occasions giving out warnings or fines. If you are kiting there make sure you stay away, especially if they are training, the Mentone LSC seems to not hesitate to call Parks Vic or even the plod it seems. I have had to call out to a few kiters who are doing this so they don't ruin it for everybody. If you can't get upwind walk down the beach a bit.
