As a newbie and keen to have fun, 2 fellow kiters, also newbies and my self came up with the term Walk of Wishful Thinking its where newbies pointlessly try to launch their kites in no wind and end up walking for hours with no success but still have fun any way. Naturally we are hoping this will catch on

Good on ya for trying. Wind has been a bit dismal on the wknds.

Lol... I can't count the number of times I did that.

It is good for practising your first loop tho (out in the water). It won't take you far in those conditions but it's good to get a feel for it.

i think the walk of shame refers to walking along the shore cause you cant tack back up wind to your spot where you started

I think its pretty much what he’s talking about - Launch kite, Try and get riding, No luck, Walk back to shore.
