Hi looking for helpful tips for an enthusiastic new kiteboarder living in Albert park area very soon.
I've been kite landboarding and jumping around with my 5m Pansh Ace for about a year now, It's time to get the real deal and i'm looking for a new kite set up/friends/clubs etc.
I'm 28, 165cm, 67.5kg, can skate, wakeboard snowboard etc and really looking forward to kiteboarding. I've been leaning towards a:
11m (bow?) kite
with a surfboard style board (so one day can catch waves)
Any thoughts??
What other clubs/forums are worth joining.
Any other related advice welcome.
Cheers
Seb
Check out MAKO on facebook, they do a couple of casual kiteboarding weekends and have a mailing list for regular trips. Quiet a few newbies and experienced riders on the list.
On the issue of kite, I'd go with a 10-11m with a twintip, probably around 130 or so for your weight. The surfboard only really works as a second board for the bay.
