Hey guys,
i'm heading to phillip island in late november, and i'm just wondering where are the best spots to kite? I'll be riding a twin-tip, both flatwater and waves. Long stretches of uncrowded beach would be nice. I'll be staying a few kays west of Cowes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Really depends on your level of ability and wind direction..... Not too many flat water options.... Plenty of surf options......
Cat Bay
Right Point
Flynns Reef ... All work in winds NW to SSW usually a gentle swell but decent waves rolling into the bay Or..... Head over the back to Woolamai depending on conditions( generally works SE to SW ) just make sure you know what you are doing as these open beaches are very unforgiving and not at all the place for beginners or even intermediates as they easily attract massive swell and rips/ sweeps.
The island is an awesome place to surf and kite just be sure to pick the right spot for the conditions.

if your really looking for flat water you can always head another 30-40mins away to inverloch where you'll find some super buttery smoothness

thanks for the suggestions. if the surf is big, i'll just go paddle surfing. i'll try and con some mates into road-tripping down to inverloch, it seems more suited to my (limited) ability.
