Been to Peterborough a few times around xmas but no wind when i was there so no kiting, plenty of flat water potential between beach and reef where boat ramp is, just down past golf course, maybe sth, se, east winds, then there's also the estuary/river area as a possible too. Otherwise you've got warnambool and Killarney to the south. Check out google earth and BOM Warnambool for forecast. Have fun, let us know how you go.

Just finished kiting along the great ocean road up to robe over the last weekend. The inlet at Peterborough is rather yuck (lots of cow **** etc) and partially shadowed by the dunes, but flat water. The beach area is good, but further up towards port fairy was far more enjoyable (and I did hear killarny was pretty good too). If you feel like driving further beachport was my favorite, nice bay with waves and huge lake for flat water (although a tad scummy from the swan crap, just try not too drink it lol).
