Does anyone have any more info on this?

Seems like a very sensible spot to go for a kite in a northerly, I might give a shot next time

Cannot imagine there was enough wind for a decent water-launch so a drift is inevitable once he was down.

BUT even so, incidents like this reinforce the view that we DO need a form of accreditation - locations need to reinforce a "no accreditation = no sail here" policy (councils mainly - there is the challenge, but PV rangers could assist and are likely to be very supportive)

AND accreditation needs to include practice/understanding of windy and non-windy self rescue techniques!!!!

Something for KBV and schools & councils to consider???
