Is there any reason why I shouldn't set out 1-2km north of the PKB Rosebud spot with a view to winding up at PKB spot?

Hopefully I can then spend more of my allocated kiteboarding time on the board and less time on foot trudging back upwind.

Is there enough water in that area? Underwater obstacles, other hazards etc?

I guess the pier is a bit of an obstacle.

Probably better starting at rosey and finishing at rye.

Yeah, I have done rosebud - rye a few times. It's a good little downwinder, no obstacles.

Only problem is not many kiters at the rye end so you want to be comfortable self landing.
