Where is a good place for a beginner on sunday any ideas good people.

Pretty much what Ewan said. Essentially, if it's a southerly, then St Kilda. Whilst often busy, it is as beginner friendly as it gets, i.e. Deep beach to launch from, other kiters expect learners there, and the local populous are probably more kite aware than most (which is not very, but still more than nothing).

If it's a Northerly, then possibly Rosebud, but more likely nowhere. Winter winds are notoriously un-learner friendly: Gusty, changeable, and can go from 15knots to 40knots in a blink of an eye. I.e. going from 12m kite conditions, to 5m kite conditions. Not fun or safe. In a northerly, the wind has spent most time over land so is even more shocking than usual.

Have a good time if you get out.

Balnarring is the spot if you're after somehwere a little quieter.

But - its a drive and has boat moorings..
