Just moved to the area and hoping to meet the locals and find the sweet spots.
I've moved from Taranaki in NZ.
If the wind kicks in today i will be trying Silverleaves out?
Forcasted 10knots from the north, but maybe.........
I bet its kicks in tomorrow, when im back at work!
I am lucky enough to work a 4/4 roster, just unlucky in that it has only been windy while im at work lately.
Ive also got a few Slingshot kites for sale, (REVS) which i have resently replaced with Rallys and RPMS.
Anyway can't wait to get some kiting in, any spot suggestions greatly appreicated.
I love riding waves too, but only have twintip with me.
Keen for snowboarding trips too.

hey dude,
Been staying down at coronet bay during the week... works in anything west really well but no waves.
went out at kilcunda beach yesterday at that bridge, was coming west about 30 knts, waves are pretty crazy down there though.
also another good spot is cape patterson, depends on your skill level but its worth a look gets good swell and good wind!
havent seen many kiters down this way, come out if you see me (cabrinha red and black 2011 kites) be good to have more people incase anything goes wrong

Silverleaves is choppy on Nth and little room except at mid-low tide. You might want to try around at Ventnor, either at the end of Ventnor Beach Rd (carpark and toilets, walk down small track to sandy beach) or futher around at Devon Ave (park near cliff and walk down track- good cross shore with some incoming waves). Otherwise 'Cat Bay' and Flynns beach are serious on a Nrth West but you want to avoid kiting there alone- Sharks and currents! Woolamai Beach looks like it could be good on a SE but I have never done so.
BTW People love Inverloch and its not far from the Island and you really should checkout the inlet at Sany Point. I would be interested to read any reports. M
