This is all I'm gonna be thinking about when I'm out deep and stack..... I didn't think sharks came this far in?

Sharks are absolutely everywhere.......just because we rarely see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Correct! Back in 2010/11 there was a massive white pointer spotted near Altona pier by some fishos near by and they took photos. Surprised it was not mentioned here.

Hey Lofty,

The Altona Shark you are talking about was very big at least 3 metres.

Those fishos on the pier where suprised (considering all the guts and filleting they do off the pier).

In the 1960's a small child was taken in waist deep water at Altona by a white pointer (My Grandfathers - mates brother). It was inbetween the 2nd and 3rd sandbank. The mother was within an arms length of the kid as well.

The one that scard the poo out of me is the one in Western Port, a ranger at Balnarring told me they have a tracker on a 4 metre white pointer there.

They have tracked him from all around Western Port to Phillip Island and down to Wilson Prom.

I have been out the southern End of Phillip Island on a yacht. There indeed is a 4 metre white pointer there he came up to us had a good look and swam off.

They are everywhere I have seen them while surfing and fishing. They are just big and hungry.

this is about as comforting as watching jaws or open water. Certainly helps with the motivation not to stack.

Hey guys I had a shark right next to me on Sunday arvo kiting at Green point, it was right on the reef on the point maybe only 50m off the beach
It certainly wasn't the white in the picture above though!

Probably a bronzie, maybe 2m long

I did a run right by him, turned and went back over him and he pissed off really quickly. Tonnes of them in the bay, nothing new!

Sweet !!!

I've had a very large Bronzie swim right under me in 2mtr deep water, then come back for a second pass, i thought it was one of coolest beautiful things i'd seen.

Shark phobic Girlies need to take up a different sport.

Safety Beach is in fact "Shark Bay", was only renamed to safety beach to attract tourist. Enjoy your next session at Dromana, hehe...

The only sharks I'm worried about are those hungry parking attendant ****s. If they are gonna charge us to park at Brighton they could at least fix the male sh itters
