Hi everyone,

I'll be spending a week around Christmas in Fairhaven, and I'm hoping to get some warm water and few nice summer kiting sessions in during the week (If the wind-gods are with me that is)

I've been reading some of the previous forum posts on similar topics and I've seen some spots mentioned (point roadknight?) in the area. Any other recommendations? (I'm hearing traffic will be terrible around that time, so the closer to fairhaven the better :) )

Also, are there any specific rules or regulations I should keep in mind to kite in the area? I take it most beaches w/beachgoers are off-limits?

Let me know (& Thanks for what seems to be a great forum with tons of useful info)
/Johan
ps: I've kited @ Altona once about a year ago when I was staying in Melbourne, nice spot!)

Fairhaven should be quite good. Just stay awy from swimmers and out of the flags plenty of room even over summer along here.
Pt Roadnight on the other hand will be full of families at this time of year. Best to give it a miss unless its 25knots and 19 degrees in which case it will be empty of beachgoers

Awesome, thanks! Should I expect to see other kiters on that beach?

If conditions are good probably 2-4 kiters out.
