Yay. The bitching about learners using the kiddy pool can start again! ;-)

Given the clean slate, can we agree on what is an appropriate level of competence for those that use the kiddy pool? I understand it's out of bounds for learners with instructors. Perhaps we can pick an IKO skill level that is fair?
I'm not deliberately bating. It would be good to know.

If you can unhook, loop or boost you are entitled to use the kiddy pool....

I've never kited StKilda. How much actual space do learners have in the kiddy pool?

^^NONE^^ plenty of other space for learners and people who love going back and forward with helmet, vest, gopoo, seat harness, 4.3, boardies. The rest of the bay is PERFECT chop so enjoy that rather then get tangled up x

StKilda's kiddy pool can end up being really crowded most of the time. Most people will move out of the way when someone is throwing down and work around each other. But sometimes you have 1 or 2 people who think they own it and just keep getting in everyone's way, who purposely don't see you, and they don't even unhook.
Anyway does this mean the kiddy pool area is going to get bigger or stay the same as last summer?
What are they building in that spot anyway?

In addition, news from other areas is that the barge is in place for the commencement of the re-works of the Jetty....
I assume this is the start of making space/safe for the marina to be wholly clear of the kiting area, making much more space for kites inside the breakwater area (not just kiddy pool). :)
This is easily the best news - that area is very under used at the moment as it is - once you get a little above the kiddy pool area and the b*tch fighting, there is a lovely expanse of water to play in - Now there's going to be even more :)

Ahhhhh Townsville... open spaces, warm water, trade winds, low tides, no chop, no urchins, no agro, no unhookers, and no yuppies.
Of course we have crocs, stingers, tiger sharks, dugons, flying fish, stone fish, cone shells, and Portugese man of war. Lovely place to be really.
