I was at altona this afternoon when a kiter came in with a broken foot strap. I have heaps of busted ones so had a spare bit to replace his broken bit. I said I was happy to just give it to him as it is just left over and the rest of the pad was broken anyway. Then I went for a kite.
She I got back in I found a six pack next to my van. AWESOME
Thanks for the beer

Good to hear the Altona vibe of years gone by is still alive.
When I first started kiting in 2005-2006 it was mainly at Altona usually only 3-4 kites out after work, the people were so cool and helpful with everything.
If the wind lulled or dropped out completely someone would always head up to the shops for a slab.
It's a good vibe when you are getting out of the water or packing up and a stranger offers you a beer.

Good to hear that these things still happen, it just makes the whole kiting scene that much more enjoyable when people are considerate and look after each other.
