Here's hoping it doesn't go ahead...Surely the scale of this development can't be good for for kiting at Brighton beach, even if its at the southern end.

I'm more surprised there isn't something there already, it's a major tourist drawcard..! Fortunately it didn't cost a pile of money or look as lame as the Melbourne Star ferris wheel..

Might restrict your chances on parking tho

It looks pretty good to me. Just nip down and get a coffee after a session. It's down the ****ty end of the beach and it might draw all the beach goers away from the kiting area.

There are heaps of people walking the beaches during winter. If they could get a drink and something to eat then there would be more people and they would stay longer. Take a look at Parkdale or Mordialloc, Ricketts Point, or St Kilda or Williamstown.

What they don't do is go in the water and that's fine with me.

I wonder if it will have the toilets that play music like Hampton LSC?

Hopefully they put a decent webcam in there as well, one like SYC's where you can control it would be wicked. Get a decent idea of what conditions are like before fighting for a car park.
