Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone could let me know what wind directions are rideable at Torquay and the best forecast to look at?

Anything without North in it within a short drive. Best in S / SW. Although a strong easterly is fantastic but rare. Re best place to look i just go down to the beach when i am staying down so no help there. Apparently Core boardsports has something on there website. Be respectful of locals and other beach users and if you get rescued by the surf life savers minimum beer tax is a slab. Cheers and enjoy.

Point danger is the go in a lowtide s/w, big current run between the reef and the point which will drag you down wind in a s/w.
If you do go out and run into trouble expect to drift from the point 1/2km before you hit land again...
Best to ride a size bigger to compensate for the current which runs up the coast.
