Me and a mate where kitesurfing point Leo recently and got told we should be kiteing second reef and not suicide reef. The guy that said this ,was a local windsurfer who recons kitesurfers get in the way out there and make it crowded. I've been kiteing waves for years and have never been told I shouldn't be kiteing somewhere. So I'd just like to say to anyone getting into waves please know the rules of the road and have respect especially to locals. Also bare in mind that windsurfers have much less control and less wind than kitesurfers so it's easier for liters to get out of the way.

Yeah I'm with Gazman ,no one owns a break ,but don't drop off a wave because there's a better one behind and think because your up wind it's yours
Go out the back and find your own wave and respect others down wind
Remember respect earns respect and when the wave hits the shore it's all over

Nicely put. I guess it only takes one bad experience with a kiter to put their backs up.
