I live at St Kilda West but spend time on the mornington penninsula. Can any one tell me of a good place to teach a mate to kite. Especially on a south east/south west wind. I've heard about Balnarring? Also does anyone kite on the surf beaches between gunnamatta and portesa?

Maybe change the title to say eastenr port. Anyways...
Rosebud has nice flat water at middle tide and is fairly shallow for about 200m of shore.

portsea has a great surf beach and the crowds are a tad smaller than gunnamatta
aspandale is also a good spot to teach with fairly shallow water
