3/2 wettie is fine from about now on if you dont feel the cold. I find the 4/3 wettie is to hot now and i have to have a dip every once and a while to cool down

I wear a wetsuit all year round unless it's really hot. The wind chill can really cut to the bone at any time of year. The last few sessions I have finished feeling really cold.

The water is not particularly cold but the wind can be.

during summer i only wear boardies and a wetsuit top. Keeps the wind off and means you dont have to change to go get a feed after

Don't take the soft advice of wetsuit all year round, I'm out most days now with boardies only. If you don't feel the cold then just bring the boardies.

I'm a skinny bugger who feels the cold. Wetsuit all year round for me.
4/3 and booties in winter, 3/2 in summer.

I went out on Friday in shorts and t shirt, it was fine. No worries.
I was close to buying a wetsuit but def. wont get one.

Although Im from norway I dont compar to these guys:

http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/iriks/article3924843.ece

surfing in a river in norway at -17C air temp. and probably as low
as +5 in the water. They spent two hours in the water.

One of them made a comment stating: dont film us when we put coconut oil
in the face (to prevent skin damage), people will think we re mad!!

I think they re mad with or without coconut oil in the face!

I'm another scrawny bastard like Koma so I use a wetty all year round and even use a dry suit for colder winter days although thats more for comfort than a mandatory requirement, I just hate getting off the water and freezing and the drysuit gives the same flexibility with toasty warmth.

Most spring days you can get away with a 3/2 with a 4/3 for winter and when it starts to get hot you can wear shorts. I wore shorts a lot last Summer but haven't had a chance to date. Not sure how these guys are wearing shorts already like on Sunday, they must have been stocking up on the meat pies over winter for extra insulation.

yeah like me, but I still prefer a wetsuit

around christmas it get's warm enough for shorts only.. or at least it used to..

I even bought boots for winter, I stopped feeling my feet after 2 min in the middle of July.. aside from that, I guess a shorty will have you covered 80% of the year...
