I was just wonder should I get a bigger kite for less winds or a smaller for more winds? right now i have a core xr3 10m (weigh 78kgs) kite and i can get out in about 15-23 ish knots. I am thinking of getting another kite and just wondering what i would get more use out of? a bigger or smaller kite?

I have been looking at a 6m core kite (ex training school) for $600 i think i could bid them down quite abit. But i was wondering if that would kind of fill in the gap of 23 knots+ and if i would get more use buying a bigger kite so i can go out in lighter winds?

Smaller it is, I did get out last night on my 10m for an hour or so but i had to work it alot.

6 is really tiny for your weight (same as me), most would only use that size 3-4 times a year if they even bothered owning and carrying one around..
But I agree with others get a smaller kite, nothing worse than praying for wind and then finding out you over did it

With a 10, best option seems to be a 7 to get a good range. It's been my quiver for the past 3 years and I never felt any issue.
8 and 10 would be quite close in size, best choice would be 8-11 for you, but you have your 10 already.

I'm only 65k and have never been with too much power on my 7 so far, so 6 would be too small for you. 8 sounds about the good size to get you going with strong northern winds. If you go for a 7, you'll be just fine when it blows nicely but might struggle a bit in the low range
