Hi guys,

I'm interested in getting into kite surfing and would like any advice on where to go around Melbourne for lessons? I live near St Kilda but I'm not sure about learning there because the marina is so small and there are too many people!

Cheers,

Justin

Hey Justin,

I had two long lessons last season with Go Kite and was addicted straight away. A mate and i saved over winter and just bought packages and are going for another refresher lesson tonight with Go Kite! My mate did his lessons with Kite Republic and was not impressed. He said the gear was old and didn't get much 'love' from the instructors.

A guy called brad owns Go Kite and does it for the love of it, not his main job. They have new gear all the time and their instructors are ace. I recommend them 100%!

Understand about the 'too many people' in St Kilda but if you start now you might miss the crowds.

Maybe we can hook up and have a session if you get into it!

You could always try the Guys at Katani, Established, Well set Up.

Ok Shameless Pimp-age, But The School At Katani is now running on full steam.
using the latest 2010-2011 Liquid force Kites.
All lessons are done on a private 1-2-1 basis unless you specially request otherwise

I am Jamie The Head Instructor here and I have been teaching all over the world in Various locations and conditions for the last 4-5 years.
My kiting experience goes back to the late 90's when i was Land locked and 5 years on the water since i found freedom.

Give us a shout on 1300 Katani, and talk through your requirements.
All the best
Sweet winds
